The Foundation proudly sponsored the Chris Klug Foundation’s third annual Summit for Life race on Saturday, December 6th in Aspen, Colorado. In this nighttime event, contestants raced from the base to the summit of Aspen Mountain, climbing 3,267 vertical feet over a 2.5 mile course, to prove that transplant recipients can lead healthy, active lives! Two different start times were introduced this year: The recreational start at 5:15 p.m. was for those who wanted to take their time climbing the mountain and the competitive start at 6 p.m. was for those who expected to finish in less than two hours. A record number of participants—more than 280 people—participated in this year’s race and ended the night with a party at the Sundeck.
