Welcome to 2011, Team Transplant!
Hello Team Transplant Riders and Welcome to 2011!
It feels like it’s been a long and dreary winter, and as I sit here and listen to the rain fall outside, I find myself still hoping for spring. BUT… it’s great to be back and connecting with all of you, and looking forward to, once again, another great year for Team Transplant at Subaru Elephant Rock.
First and foremost… April is NATIONAL DONATE LIFE month. Now come on, what better time to sign up and start telling your friends and family about this great organization that you will be supporting this spring?
Now… the other thing on my mind in April is that ugly date looming at the end of this week… April 15th. I don’t think I’ve ever dreaded a Friday so much. Yes, I owe Uncle Sam a hefty little check, and I’m dreading the writing of it and sending it off for it’s postmark before midnight on Friday. But, as I think of our civic duty and the inevitability of taxes, another vision of Uncle Sam comes to mind that I hope may inspire you…
I WANT YOU TO JOIN TEAM TRANSPLANT!
Yes folks, I’m already starting in with my demanding ways and telling you what to do, on my very first blog post. But we have a lot of riders to gain between now and June 5th, and we won’t be able to do it without you!
Rumor has it, the first 50 registrants get a free pair of cycling socks… and a little bird hinted to me this week that you might still be able to get a pair… if you register today! For those of you returning to Team Transplant, you’ll see some changes in the registration process that are going to make life a lot easier. You now have the ability to build sub teams, have a custom fund-raising page, all sorts of fun and exciting stuff! If you’ve already registered for Subaru Elephant Rock, no big deal… just indicate that on your registration form and we’ll take care of you!
Team Transplant, I’m so excited to be back in the game with you and cyber-interacting with you prior to the big ride. Keep checking back for exciting updates about team rides, great fund-raising incentives and prizes, and other special announcements prior to the ride.
I’m looking forward to another great year at Subaru Elephant Rock– we were the largest team there last year, and I know we can do it again! I’ll be back in a few days with some more hints, tips, and ideas about training, recruiting, fundraising, and how to make this our best Team Transplant ever.
It’s great to be back… are you ready to ride?
Susan
SPRINGING into Team Transplant!
