The Transplant Hero Awards will take place on September 26, 2013 at the Pinnacle Club at the Grand Hyatt Denver. The Transplant Hero Awards is a special evening designed to support the American Transplant Foundation’s mission to save lives by reducing the growing list of women, men, and children who are waiting for a transplant.
Awards will be granted for the following categories based on nominations:
s Patient Advocate Award (Medical Professional): An individual who works within the transplant or dialysis field and has gone above and beyond to advocate, care and support for their patients during their transplant journey- specifically regarding living donation.
s Gift of Life Award (Living Organ Donor): A living organ donor who has selflessly given part of themselves so that someone could receive the Gift of Life through living donation. This person has given without the desire for recognition or the expectation of receiving something in return.
