As if waiting for a kidney transplant isn’t hard enough, this compelling story challenges an existing social phenomenon around the world: Unemployment. Recent studies show that there is a negative correlation between being unemployed and being placed on the waiting list which leaves millions of disadvantaged individuals without even an opportunity to get placed on the list. Community connections are crucial when it comes to finding a donor and to even potentially becoming a donor!
