Celebrating Transplant Recipients and Honoring Donors at the 2026 Donor Dash 5K!
We are so grateful to everyone who participated in, volunteered at, and helped make the 2026 Donor Dash 5K on July 19th such a meaningful event. It was wonderful to experience the incredible spirit, love, and support shown by everyone who came together to celebrate transplant recipients, honor organ, eye, and tissue donors, and advocate for greater awareness of the transplant process and donation.
One of the most significant parts of the day was hearing the personal stories that members of the transplant community shared with us. Seeing people support their family members, friends, and communities–whether through participating in the 5K, volunteering, or simply showing up–was truly heartwarming. The event created so many meaningful connections throughout the community and reminded us of the strength, resilience, and compassion that make the transplant community so special
People traveled from near and far to take part in the Donor Dash, and we loved meeting so many of you. We enjoyed hearing your stories, sharing information about the resources and programs we offer, and connecting with individuals who are interested in getting involved with the American Transplant Foundation. We are so excited to continue the conversations and build even more connections in the future.
A special thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible, including our volunteers, interns, mentors, staff, and all of our supporters. Your time, dedication, and enthusiasm made this day such a success.
We would also like to give a well-earned congratulations to one of our interns, Elizabeth, for placing in the top 30 out of thousands of participants in this year’s Donor Dash 5K! We are incredibly proud of her achievement and beyond grateful to have her as a part of the American Transplant Foundation team.
