Abraham Shaked, MD, PhD

 
 

Dr. Abraham Shaked has received his M.D degree from the Hebrew University in Israel and completed his general surgery training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where he also accomplished a Doctorate of Philosophy in molecular pathology and immunology. He completed an accredited transplantation fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Hospital, where he served for 5 years as the Associate Director of the most active liver transplant program in the world.

Dr. Shaked has been recognized annually in Philadelphia’s Magazine’s Top Docs issues since 2002, and in  America’s Top Doctor’s between 2012-14. He is a nationally and internationally recognized leader in the field of transplantation, serving as President of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons. His specialty is focused in adult and pediatric liver transplantation, complex hepatobiliary surgery, biliary reconstruction, and minimization of immunosuppression.
