Robert Avery Montgomery, MD
Dr. Robert Avery Montgomery earned his American Board of Surgery certification in 2006. He was a member of the team performing the worlds first live donor kidney removal using minimally invasive techniques. He also led the team performing the first triple swap kidney transplant, and the 5-way domino transplant. He is considered a world-renowned expert on kidney transplantation for highly-sensitized and ABO incompatible patients.
Dr. Montgomery was the Chief of the Division of Transplantation at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a professor of surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine up until 2016. He is currently the Director of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute in New York.
