In Need of a Kidney Donor

My name is Adam, and I am asking for your help to save my life. I am 43 years old and on the kidney transplant list in Florida and Alabama.

I try to live each day to the fullest despite the challenges of kidney failure. I love sports and spend time as a basketball and volleyball official, and I am also a big University of Florida Gators fan. Staying active in my community and holding on to the things I enjoy most has helped me stay strong while I wait for a donor.

I have been on dialysis for over four years, and it has taken a major toll on my health and energy. Simple things leave me feeling exhausted and nauseous, and it’s been difficult not to feel like myself. I dream of living without the constant burden of dialysis and being able to reclaim my health, travel, and pursue my career and passions again.

  • Step 1

Please call (833) 822-2841 or (352) 265-0254 to see if you are eligible to be my donor.

I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers as I have no immediate family that can donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am only able to receive blood from an O donor. Even if you are not a match, you may still be able to help through a Paired Exchange Program.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I hope to continue to work, travel, and do the things that I love. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential, and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Adam
