"If someone is considering donating to me, I would be grateful for their selfless decision. I would make sure they understand that I will make the best of this gift and never take another day for granted."

Cierra— POtential kidney Transplant Recipient

My name is Cierra, and I am asking for your help to save my life.

I have a kidney disease called proliferative glomerulonephritis. I am currently on dialysis for 9 hours every night. I am fatigued all the time, I have no energy, and I lost my social life. It’s hard for me to get up some days to shower or even get up to get food.

Before kidney failure/dialysis I was always an outside person. I loved hanging out with my friends, going shopping, visiting different places/landmarks, watching Disney movies, astronomy, and just enjoying the day outside. I used to work as a teacher assistant for special need students but had to stop because my illness and symptoms got worse.

I am currently in nursing school fighting my way to finish and focus but some days it's really hard to handle both.

According to my doctors, a transplant would be my best choice to leading a somewhat normal life once again. It's hard being so young and spending all my days in bed and missing out on everything because of a sickness.

The first thing I would do if I'm blessed with a transplant is visit this park in Pennsylvania that is 5 hours away from where I live. At this park you can camp and see the Milky Way Galaxy so clear. I've always wanted to do this since I found out about this place but being on PD dialysis limits my ability. I hope when I get a transplant and I'm cleared by the doctors I will get to experience this.

Thank you for considering saving my life.
