My name is Dino, and I am asking for your help to save my life.
I am on the kidney transplant list in Colorado.
I am originally from Greece and have been in the United States for 46 years. I am married and have a 22 year old daughter studying English in Greece.
I owned and operated a restaurant in Denver called Chef Zorbas from 1999-2018. Chef Zorbas has been a staple Greek restaurant in the Capital Hill community for decades and is one the best Greek restaurants in Denver. I sold the restaurant to focus on my health and family.
I am in stage 5 kidney failure and is on dialysis. I'm in need of a lifesaving organ transplant.
I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers. We had one potential donor tested and we were not a match. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. No waiting and wondering while my body continues to weaken.
I can receive from blood types O+ or O-. Even if you do not have the same blood type, you can donate as part of a
paired exchange program.
The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance. Please review existing Living Donor Benefits to determine which apply to you. In addition, the American Transplant Foundation has financial assistance available to cover any lost wages while you donate for those who are eligible after donation.
Thank you for considering saving my life.
