James (JAY) N.

My name is James (Jay) Nixon III, and I am asking for your help to save my life.
I was diagnosed with Polycystic kidney syndrome when I was in my teens. Also known as (PKD OR PCKD) is a genetic disorder in which the renal tubules become structurally abnormal, resulting in the development and growth of multiple cysts within the kidney. This disease I inherited from my grandfather's side of the family; it has killed my grandfather, dad, and uncle.
I'm a proud father of two daughters and one son. I work full time and go to dialysis three days a week.
It will be a Blessing and a Life changing experience for me. I have been accepted as a candidate for a kidney transplant. But while making the transplant list is great, there is no guarantee that I will be chosen to receive a kidney from a deceased donor. Many people die while waiting. Becoming a living donor saves lives.
All medical costs are covered by my insurance. The American Transplant Foundation also covers lost wages for living donors so you won't have to worry about being away from work.
I’m searching for someone to become my living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers, because I have no immediate family available to donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes, and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. No waiting and wondering while my body continues to weaken.
Thank you for considering saving my life,
James
