My name is Luke, and I am asking for your help to save my life.
I am on the liver transplant list in Minneapolis, MN.
I am married with an adult son. I went to 13 schools groving up from K-12, and married my junior high first love, who I met overseas- We have been together on and off since 9th grade. I love music, animals, nature, and travel.
I am experiencing numerous heath problems related to a sick liver, and having to risk the health of other organs/systems in my body to manage the symptoms of my damaged liver.
I have been told that my condition is not bad enough to get a deceased liver and that a living donor is my best option.
The hardest part about this process is not knowing whether someone may be out there who is willing to help me - since the liver is so resilient, a living donor seems like such a realistic option with potential benefits for both parties.
A new liver will greatly increase my quality of life - essentially giving me a new lease on life. I would like to share whatever I can to make sure we are a good match that will find the experience rewarding for each of us.
Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with any Type O blood type. If someone is O, and would consider donation, we should talk.
The first step is to contact me using the information in the box below. The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance. Please review existing Living Donor Benefits to determine which apply to you. If you are not eligible for a tax credit, I can reimburse for donation related expenses as permissible by law. In addition, the American Transplant Foundation has financial assistance available to cover any lost wages while you donate for those who are eligible after donation.
After this transplant, I look forward to living happily ever after - living a simple life filled with gratitude.
Thank you for considering saving my life.
With deep gratitude,
