Matthew Cooper, MD
Dr. Matthew Cooper a practicing surgeon specializing in transplant surgery located in Washington, D.C. He received his medical degree in 1994 from Georgetown University School of Medicine and has been practicing medicine since. Currently, Dr. Cooper is the Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at Georgetown University’s Medical Center, focusing on living donation and living donor safety in the transplant process.
Dr. Cooper is already an active member of the transplant community, as he is involved with several organ donations and transplant organizations. He is currently on the board of the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS), American Foundation for Donation and Transplantation, and the National Kidney Foundation.
