Nancy, Type O Blood, Colorado

My name is Nancy and I have a large family with one sister, 6 brothers, 23 nieces and nephews, 3 step-children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. I have been struggling with type one diabetes since 1960 and went on dialysis in 2015. My husband has been my champion since my kidneys began to fail in 2014, keeping me motivated and strong. We’ve been together the past 21 years.

I am an avid reader with three different book clubs and love to crochet. Currently, I am waiting on the transplant list for a kidney and am in need of a new kidney so I can spend time with my family. Originally from New York, I settled in Colorado and am unable to travel often to see family while on dialysis.
