In Need of a Kidney Donor

My name is Naomi, and I am asking for your help to save my life.

I like to spend time with family, read books, and binge-watch TV shows. My current medical state is stable. After starting PD Dialysis, there were many ups and downs. I was admitted to the hospital on a couple of occasions due to fluid in my lungs. But my prescription has changed, and my treatments have been doing well. I have enrolled in therapy and am trying to live life to the fullest while I wait for the miracle of a new kidney. The most difficult thing about this process is the uncertainty of it all and overthinking the future. There are a lot of things in life I want to accomplish, like starting a family. Donating a kidney is not just a kind gesture—it’s a life-changing gift. You’re giving me hope, more time, and a chance to live differently by giving me a fresh start, a chance at a better life.

I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers, because I have no immediate family that is able to donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with Type O blood. Even if you do not have the same blood type, you can donate as part of a paired exchange program.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I hope to live a normal, healthy life and start a family one day. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential, and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Naomi
