Colorado Helps Pave the Way for More Living Organ Donors
Tomorrow, Governor John Hickenlooper will sign the Colorado Living Donor Support Act - HB1202. This legislation will remove a significant barrier for living kidney and liver donors who may not step forward if they are afraid to lose their job or income during their recovery period after surgery. It makes Colorado one of the first states in the country to subsidize paid leave for living organ donors by providing a tax credit for employers.

DENVER, CO – (May 2, 2018) – The American Transplant Foundation is thrilled to announce a unique event - Lesh for LIFE. Phil Lesh received a lifesaving liver transplant 20 years ago, he has since become an advocate and a public voice for organ donation. The event is a benefit for the American Transplant Foundation and will take place on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
