In Need of a Kidney Donor

My name is Tabitha, and I am asking for your help to save my life.

I am a single mother to a wonderful daughter and run a small hobby farm with goats, chickens, geese, rabbits, guineas, and dogs. Living in the country brings me so much joy, and I love cooking with fresh ingredients from our family farm. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and traveling whenever I get the chance.

I have been waiting for a kidney transplant for six months. Years ago, a generous living donor gave me the gift of 15.5 beautiful years with my daughter. Now, I am back on dialysis at home for 12 hours a day, which has been exhausting and painful. In addition to dialysis, I undergo iron infusions and frequent doctor appointments, leaving me physically drained. My body is covered in bruises due to low iron, and I have lost half of my hair from ongoing treatments.

  • Step 1

Please call my transplant center at 314-362-5365 to complete a pre-screen survey on the phone if you are interested in becoming my donor. You will need my birthday: 12/29/1982

I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers, because I have no immediate family that is able to donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with any Type A or O blood type. Even if you do not have the same blood type, you can donate as part of a paired exchange program.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I want to get back to enjoying weekends at the zoo or enjoying late-night concerts with my daughter. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Tabitha
