Kelsey Crider, a 25-year-old college student, is in need of her fourth kidney transplant.
In 2007, Kelsey was diagnosed with Medullary Cystic Kidney disease, and has since undergone ten surgeries, including three kidney transplants. Now, her latest kidney is failing, and Kelsey is looking for a fourth living donor.
The American Transplant Foundation’s Executive Director Anastasia Darwish comments, “In Colorado we have over 2,700 people who are waiting for a life-saving transplant, and over 90% of them can be helped by a living donor.”
“Everyone can live off of one kidney,” Kelsey explains, “My dad and my two donors are living proof of that.”
Kelsey’s blood type is O. For more information about live-donor testing, please visit Kelsey’s website: http://www.kidney4kp.com/.
