My name is Rifat, and I am asking for your help to save my mother's life.
She is currently at stage 5 (kidney failure) from a genetic kidney disease and enduring the struggle that is the dialysis process. I have been waiting for a transplant for 5 years.
We are a close-knit family including my mother (Zannatul), my father, and myself, their only child. We love each other so much. My mother loves cooking, traveling, photography, crafting, and charity work such as contributing to projects to provide basic necessities to families in underprivileged communities
I would like to make sure to leave no stones unturned in making sure my mother is able to undergo a smooth transplant process and for that we would like to reach out to a kind-hearted angel who would generously donate.
All willing candidates for my mother have ben denied for various reasons.
My mother longs to spend long-lasting moments with my family rather than in a dialysis facility with a machine next to her. She used to be a very strong mother and wife, but with this disease deteriorating her health in a way she had never imagined, so she slowly is starting to lose hope. My mother's wish after her possible transplant is to travel abroad, something she has not done in years, when she doesn't have to go through dialysis three times a week, and wholeheartedly contribute to projects for providing basic necessities to families in unprivileged communities. My mother also dreams to hold my hand and my father's hand while we tread on the path to a bright future starting with me graduating from college to seeing grandchildren.
We are searching for unseen ray of hope in the form of an individual with a heart of gold, such a person who can donate a kidney and help my mother fulfill her wish of having a life full of joy with her family by her side. I hope to believe that my mother will be back again like the superwoman she is to give me tight hugs, as well as bring happiness to my father that way.
I wish we had known about American Transplant Foundation being one of the best support networks out there before.
Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. No waiting and wondering while my body continues to weaken.
Thank you for taking your time to read and understand my mother’s current life situation, and considering donating or spreading the word.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
Rifat and Zannatul
