Tree of Life 2024: Stories of Gratitude

Thank You for Bringing Hope to Transplant Families

This holiday season, we are filled with gratitude for the generosity and kindness of our community. Through your support of the Tree of Life, you have brought comfort and hope to families facing the challenges of organ transplantation.

The Tree of Life is a testament to the power of compassion. Every gift has lifted families out of hardship, creating a brighter and more stable future for children like Skylar, Justin, and so many others.

On behalf of the American Transplant Foundation and the families we serve, thank you for making this holiday season one of hope and joy. Your kindness is a gift that truly transforms lives, and we are deeply grateful for your support.

Your contributions have made a lasting impact of children like:

  • Skylar, a resilient 15-year-old liver transplant recipient, who also navigates the complexities of Autism. His family, facing housing instability after leaving unsafe living conditions, has found relief thanks to your kindness. Your support is helping them move towards stable housing and a nurturing environment for Skylar to thrive.
  • Lamere, an 11-year-old heart transplant recipient whose journey of recovery is filled with smiles and strength. Your support has brought comfort to his family during a challenging time.
  • Amareah, a courageous 2-year-old liver recipient, who battled rejection earlier this year, but now celebrated this season with her adoptive mom.
  • Jacob, a bright-eyed 1-year-old heart transplant recipient. His mom has expressed deep gratitude for the support that eased the financial and emotional burdens of his care during this critical time.
  • Justin, an inspiring 8-year-old lung transplant recipient, has bravely learned to walk and continues to endure frequent medical treatment. Despite his strength, he has struggled with school due to a broken laptop and his family's inability to repair their car. Your generosity has helped ease these burdens, allowing Justin to focus on his recovery and education.
