“The most difficult thing about waiting for a transplant is knowing my body is declining everyday.  It’s hard to focus on the moment because of the worry about the future.  I have young grandchildren and I fear not being able to watch them grow up.”

In Need of a Liver Donor

My name is Jane, and I am asking for your help to save my life.

I am on the liver transplant list in Dallas, TX

I am a mother of two and a grandmother of two!  I worked in the education and medical fields, and since retiring I volunteer at local hospitals.  I enjoy spending time with my family, and especially love that I get to help raise my grandchildren.  I have two dogs that I love taking to the park and spending time in nature.

I have been fighting liver disease for many years. This year my condition worsened after doctors found liver cancer.  Although treatments have slowed its growth, doctors advise the cancer will return without a transplant.  If I don’t get a transplant before the cancer returns, I will unfortunately no longer be a candidate for a transplant.

After transplant, I plan to return to volunteering at local hospitals.  I will spend most of my time with my daughter and her children, as they are the joy in my life.  I would also love to travel so I can enjoy more of this world, for which I have gained more appreciation through this journey.

  • Step 1

Please contact my transplant coordinator below if you would like to learn more or be tested to become my donor. You will need my name Jane M.

    Transplant Coordinator:

     (214)-820-4438

I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers as I have no immediate family that can donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with any Type A and O blood type.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I hope to continue to be there with my daughter and to be involved with my community. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential, and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Jane
