“I look forward to the simple things, like helping my boys fix their bicycles or being able to go camping with them again.

Beyond that, I look forward to seeing the big milestones in their lives and hopefully my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

In Need of a Kidney Donor

My name is Jordan, I am on the kidney transplant list in Dallas, TX, and am asking for your help to save my life.

My wife and I have been married for 22 years, raising our three boys – ages 20, 16, and 13 – who bring so much joy into our lives.

My life has taken me through a series of adventures and careers. Before transitioning to cybersecurity, I toured internationally as a drummer across various music genres, an exhilarating chapter of creativity and adventure. Alongside my tech career, I’ve also served as an EMT and fought wildfires as a Wildland Forestry Firefighter, confronting nature’s challenges head-on.

Beyond my work, I find solace in spending time with my family in nature. We love exploring state and national parks, camping under starlit skies, and making memories together amidst the beauty of the outdoors. These moments recharge us and strengthen our bond as a family of five.

Recently, navigating health challenges has been a rollercoaster of emotions. The unwavering support of my family keeps me positive and grounded, reminding me of the blessings despite the hurdles we face.

As the sole income earner, balancing work with medical visits has been challenging but necessary. The daily battle with kidney disease has been incredibly tough. At just 41 years old, I often feel weak which makes it hard to provide for my family and enjoy simple pleasures like spending time outdoors and camping with my kids. Since 2019, I’ve been on dialysis, and my health challenges escalated with two heart attacks. I underwent open heart surgery for a quadruple bypass at the young age of 39, all due to complications from my kidney disease.

Asking for a living donor has been a whirlwind of emotions for me. I would beyond grateful for the gift of life you would be giving me.

I am looking for a living donor. I am asking this of both friends and strangers, because I have no immediate family that is able to donate. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with any Type O blood type. Even if you do not have the same blood type, you can donate as part of a paired exchange program.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I hope to continue a lifetime of playing music, exploring, and most importantly, spending time with my family. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Jordan
