“I would be forever grateful to anyone who even considers donating to me.  I would love the opportunity to have the chance to enjoy life again without the confinement of dialysis. I pray for blessings on each one who reads my story.”

In Need of a Kidney Donor

I cherish spending time with my family. I have two wonderful daughters and eight grandchildren who bring so much joy into my life. Before my health took a turn, I loved fishing, boating, and taking long walks outdoors. These activities brought me a sense of peace and happiness that I miss now. Due to my kidney failure and being on in-home dialysis, I am confined to my home for about 12 hours each day. Traveling overnight is out of the question because of the dialysis equipment and medications I need. Despite these limitations, I remain hopeful for a kidney transplant that will grant me the freedom to return to the outdoors and spend time with my grandchildren.

Medically, my journey has been challenging. In-home dialysis has become a necessary routine and as my health continues to decline, I am reminded of the urgency for a kidney transplant. The prospect of a transplant offers me hope for a better quality of life and more time with my loved ones. Recently, I learned that relying on a deceased donor may not be an option for me, so I have begun actively seeking a living donor. Time is truly critical and I would be eternally grateful to anyone who considered donating.

  • Step 1

Please contact my transplant center at 304-388-7823 to see if you are eligible to donate.

I am looking for a living donor. Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. I am compatible with any Type A+, A-, O+, or O – blood type. Even if you do not have the same blood type, you can donate as part of a paired exchange program.

The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. I hope to continue a lifetime of spending time outdoors, traveling to visit family, and creating memories with my grandchildren. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information in the box above. The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance.

Please review existing Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you.

Thank you for considering saving my life.

With deep gratitude,

Ronald
