My name is Sean, and I am asking for your help to save my life.
I am a kidney failure patient, currently waiting for a kidney and a pancreas transplant. I have been waiting on for a transplant while I have been doing peritoneal dialysis for a over two years. My diabetes complicates things sometimes so I'm hoping to get a kidney and pancreas transplant soon.
I enjoy cooking and baking. I also volunteer with my local environmental justice agency. Im looking forward to getting back into school or volunteering with my local ASPCA.
The most difficult thing about waiting for a transplant is having to do dialysis every single night. I feel like my life is very limited. I cant travel, I cant eat a whole giant list of foods. I just feel down and out of touch
I would truly appreciate a kidney so I won't have to worry about my diet as much. I would also be able to do more with my church.
After transplant I look forward to being able to travel and visit friends and family. I would like to get back into the work force as a cool or possibly trying a new field.
Living donor transplants generally have better outcomes and can be arranged at a time convenient for both parties. No waiting and wondering while my body continues to weaken.
The most difficult part of waiting for a transplant is not knowing what the future holds. The first step is to contact my transplant center using the information on this page. The entire process is strictly confidential and medical costs are covered by my insurance.
Please review existing
Living Donor Benefits/Rights to determine which apply to you. In addition, the American Transplant Foundation has a
Financial Resource Guide you can consult for further information.
Thank you for taking your time to read and understand my current life situation, and we would appreciate you considering donating or spreading the word.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
Sean
